Whilst the Ipswich & District Rifle Club predominately conducts the sport of Full-Bore (long range target shooting), there is strong interest from within the club to develop Small-Bore and Rimfire informal competitions.
The club members of the Ipswich and District Rifle Club have constructed a 20 and 50 metre small-bore / rimfire range to help rebuild the sport of Small-Bore target shooting within the city of Ipswich.
Small-Bore Rifle is an Olympic Sport. The most popular event in Australia is the prone event which is 60 shots of a .22 calibre rim-fire rifle at a target 50 metres away.
