The National Individual Match on 21st Oct.
I have it on good authority that a contingent of FNQ TR veteran competitors will be in the mix.
THE KINGS, DAY #1 has concluded with remarkably close scores from the very start of the day.
The first range of the day finished with 28 TR competitors clean including our Mr Rob Rush on 50.05,
and with Glenn smashing out an impeccable range win of 60.07 including the very satisfying “PIN! Good Shot.”
This reporter would like to know: “So, what did you both have for breakfast?”
Congrats to our esteemed Club Captain finishing the day with the Range Win and a Day Agg Award in 3rd.

Additional mentions to
Rob Rush concluding the day’s proceedings in 28th place in TR only 4 points off the lead.
Lana Mayfield closing Day 1 in 5th in FS with a notable 2nd place at the 2nd 600yds.
Patrick Cabot rounding out the top 50 in TR with some nice grouping and a healthy centre-count.
It’s not easy competing at this level.
There are some stories evolving out there on the mound: 50.03 and 50.02 beats 49.09. Ouch. That one got away.
There’s more than one competitor going to sleep with those Inners on their minds tonight.
Sleep well all, and best of luck tomorrow.
THE KINGS, DAY #2 concluded at the longs with some challenging wind.
The 900yds saw enough in the flags to begin teasing the field apart.
A storm forecast saw conditions escalating as the 2nd 1000yds was fired resulting in some unexpected fall of shot, so the field really begins to spread.
Fortunately last shots were fired before the storm front arrived.
At the end of Day 2, Glenn is still holding onto his 3rd in the Agg.
THE KINGS, DAY #3 is underway and it is clear that conditions at the longs have not improved.
The 900yds is done and we see some smiles and some upside-down smiles as we get through the final 1000yds.
The scoreboard reveals that the wind reading today is difficult, even for the best.
The centre-count is down across the board indicating the level of difficulty is now at it’s highest.
Very few are getting through clean.
There’s another 49.09 on the board; Great shoot, bad luck on that Inner.
Positions are changing as quickly as the flags.
Final shots are approaching.
Very clearly a tough day on the mound.
In TR, the Birds appear at 20th and become more common down the board where the Outers also make an appearance from 32nd.
No Ones yet, so it hasn’t got worse.
In the optical classes we are seeing plenty of those dreaded Inners.
A couple of FS competitors have managed to sneak past Glenn by a point or two at the last range.
It has been that tight all day.
Well done, Glenn. Great contest.
We’ll see how it goes for the Kaltenberg Cup and the Mace Medal, this afternoon.
