The club is holding its frst .22 Shoot for the year Saturday morning 16 April. Sighting shots available from 8:30am and matches commencing from 9:00am (our regular full-bore match to commence at 1pm from 500 meters);

This is a ‘Come and Try’ event for licenced shooters and or those who are eligible of obtaining a weapons / minors licence, conducted in accordance with the Standard Shooting Rules on Free Class Rimfire Target Shooting. This means there are 3 divisions on offer: 1. Hunting Style Rifles 2. Target Rifle (i.e small bore or similar) 3. Magnum Rimfire Rifles. Entry fee $3 per match. Competitors to supply own rifle and ammunition.

Match 1: Competition Match

3 Sighters 20 Shots to count (15 minutes excluding sighters) on a 10 ring target at 50 metres with a Highest Possible Score out of 200

Match 2: Rapid Match

Competitors with Magazine Fed Rifles will fire 3 sighters and 10 shots to count (60 Seconds excluding sighters) on a 5 ring target at 50 metres with a Highest Possible Score out of 100.

Competitors with single load rifles will fire 3 sighters and 10 shots to count (90 Seconds excluding sighters) on a 5 ring target at 50 metres with a Highest Possible Score out of 100.

Ipswich & District Rifle Club Inc. is located on SSAA’s ‘Stewartdale‘ Target Sports Complex at Ripley in Ipswich, Queensland, Australia (approximately 40 minutes west of Brisbane and only 40 minutes drive from the Belmont Shooting Complex, the home of the Queensland Rifle Association).

Ipswich & District Rifle Club Inc. is also conveniently located just 15 minutes drive from both the RAAF Base Amberley and Springfield’s Orion Shopping Centre.
